OK so I really wasn’t a fan of the bitter green smoothies before until I discovered this recipe and played around a little bit with it. I usually drink it after a work out. I leave it in the freezer for a few minutes if I feel it’s not as cold as I’d like it to be. The only thing you can taste is the sweet vanilla flavour. Here it is:
- Half a cup of soya milk
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- Half or small full frozen banana
- 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder
- 1 tsp of natural peanut butter
I use NutriBullet for all my smoothies, so first up add the spinach and the soya milk to the blender and blend well until it’s smooth. Remove from the machine and add the rest of the ingredients and blend again until smooth.
So simple but so delicious! With this smoothie you are taking in a lot of vitamins, protein and healthy fats.
